As an authorised Cambridge English Exam centre, BLTC offers a range of  Cambridge exams in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. Decide which date and type of exam to take (computer-based or paper-based). Here is a full overview of exam dates and fees.

After sending your application form, please pay for your exam. You are only registered for an exam once we’ve received your payment. The payment must be received before the registration deadline. Please be aware that we have a limited number of seats for the exam and that your place is not guaranteed until we have received your payment. Once we’ve received your payment, we will send you a confirmation. You can either pay via bank transfer or come to BLTC and pay via pin/cash.

Step 4: Confirmation of Entry 

You will be sent a Confirmation of Entry one week in advance of the exam date. The only thing you have to bring to the exam is a valid passport or national ID.

Cambridge Special Arrangements

We can offer a number of different special arrangements for people who suffer from temporary or long term difficulties/conditions. 

Special arrangements are available for people with:

  • visual difficulties
  • hearing or speaking difficulties
  • learning difficulties

Some of the special arrangements we can offer include:

  • 25% extra time 
  • Separate invigilation 
  • Supervised breaks during the examination 
  • Use of laptop for the writing component     
  • Enlarged print 

If you need to make use of special arrangements please send us an email as soon as possible as the modified exam versions and arrangements need to be prepared. Please also include your medical evidence. Full details of arrangements that are available for candidates with special needs are on the Cambridge website and on the application form. Cambridge exam day – What to expect

On a Cambridge exam day, you must be present at the exam centre at 8.30 to register for your Cambridge exam. Bring a valid ID/passport. The exam begins at 09.00 and the exam day ends by 18.00.

Exam day schedule

Reading and Use of English, Writing, and Listening exams are in the morning between 9.00 – 13.30 or in the afternoon between 13.30 – 18.00. Between each component, you’ll have a 5-10 minute break. Speaking exam interviews are scheduled in the afternoon between 13:00 – 17:00 or in the morning between 9.00 – 13.00. Your Speaking exam time will be specified in your Confirmation of Entry. Please note that Speaking Exam times may still change on the exam day. 

Personal belongings

You may only bring a water bottle and your ID/passport into the exam room. The water bottle must be transparent and should not have a label. No other food or drinks are allowed in the room. Lunch is not provided so please remember to bring food with you. You can bring your own writing utensils however, the exam centre will provide pens, pencils, and earplugs. 

Personal belongings are not allowed inside the exam room. You will be able to store these in your Cambridge waiting room, which will be secure throughout the exam. Electronic devices are strictly forbidden. On the exam day, all your devices must be handed in. They will be returned to you at the end of the exam. We recommend that you bring something to read with you for during the breaks.

Your Cambridge Exam Results

Cambridge English exam results are accessible online; access details can be found on your Confirmation of Entry. Should these be lost or misplaced, you may request a copy from BLTC by email, starting from the date results are issued. You will be contacted by email when the certificate is ready for collection. The candidates will be informed by email when their certificates are ready for collection.
